At KONsys International, we are specialising in developing high-tech energy management software and now just released the new, powerful solution AVReporterv4.0.

“When designing this new version we focused on the global issues manufacturing, utilities and building complexes are facing. Monitoring some basic values is just not enough anymore. Increasing performance whilst reducing CO2, creating complicated compliance reports, increasing system speed when operating with big data are just some of the major points”- says Mr Baracskai Head of Technical Development.

The manufacturing industry has witnessed an explosion of data in recent times, with businesses all over the world leveraging it to gain valuable insights into their operations. The Manufacturing Business Technology website explores three ways in which real-time data analytics can be used to improve a facility's processes, production and overall bottom line:

  • Boost energy efficiency

Although a lot of manufacturers are already lowering their energy usage, there are still many opportunities to reduce consumption and increase efficiency that aren't being taken advantage of. According to a recent McKinsey report, most manufacturers are only achieving a sixth of their energy saving potential, because their strategies aren't holistic enough. This is where data analytics technology can help. From monitoring excess usage to identifying potential retrofit areas, changing employees' behaviour and setting realistic energy targets, facility managers gain an overall picture of their energy usage and consumption, and can make improvements where needed.

  • Improve equipment performance

As well as saving energy, real-time data analytics can help manufacturers to better understand their equipment using device-level technology. Wireless sensors can monitor the electricity usage of specific equipment and process the data on an analytics platform; this allows facility managers to see how equipment is functioning and how they can make it more efficient, and saves large companies up to 12% in energy usage.

  • Enhance business operations

It stands to reason that access to real-time information about energy usage and performance of equipment, as well as the facility as a whole, can help manufacturers to methodically improve their business operations. On the processing side of things, analytics allow managers to plan maintenance activities and use staff resources more effectively. Plant managers also gain detailed, accurate and up-to-date visibility into operational insights, tailored specifically to their industry, market and even building type.

Mr Baracskai Head of Technical Development at KONsys explains: “The manufacturing industry is already being transformed by real-time data analytics, as a growing number of manufacturers realise its power to increase energy efficiency, improve equipment performance and, ultimately, overhaul their business operations. Working with big data gets challenging sometimes though. Energy Management Systems have to be reliable, showing the actual true data and their performance need to be optimised, speed is also a factor. We have just launched AVReporter Energy Management Software v4.0 fully supporting the working process with big data in real-time operating unlimited number of measurement points.”

KONsys International, sole developer of AVReporter v4.0 has formally received full certification confirming reliable data recording quality and monitoring performance deploying the software testing standard of ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board.
