You connect with the databases in SMS software (4.x DL,SE,PE/SMS1500,3000) with Basic Reporter. Settings to be made through the database tab.

 

 

First we need to provide the computer name (datasource name). If computer cannot be identified by the computer name or computer appears to be unavailable, then provide the IP address of the computer then the SQL server name. SQL server name can be found on computer with the SMS software installed. Subsequently, give the database name, which you can select based on the system installed on your computer.

 

Typical SQL server names:

 

 If SMS-1500 system is applied: SMS1500

 If SMS-3000 system is applied: SMS3000

 If SMS 4.0 system is applied: SMS3000

 If SMS 4.2 system is applied: POWERLOGIC

 

 

 

As a final step, you will need to give the login name and password to access the database. Finally, you can test the connection by clicking on the Test Connection button. If connection test is successful, then click on the Save button.

 

Connecting to database has failed
