To prepare charts, navigate the mouse to the bottom of the window so that a chart- selection tool bar will appear, which can be seen in the picture below:

Optional elements:

Note: arbitrary text can be typed, can be placed anywhere in the window
Area Chart
Bar Chart
Column Chart
Pie Chart: should be used for visualizing consumption data because the object to be displayed is always formed from the difference between the first and the latest data
Line Chart
Scatter Chart: it only works properly if two different measurements/quantity are set in the query settings section; if more or less measurements are set, then it works like a traditional line or area chart
Bubble Chart
Hyperlink: any URL can be given

First, the appropriate chart must be selected. After clicking on the selected one, the empty chart will appear in a window with the property editor next to it on the right side of the screen. The desired properties can be set.

As a first step, select the source and measurement(s) from the list on the top. Five measurements max can be selected (except for Pie Chart, 16 maximum measurements number). In the next section, the chart title and the query date interval must be defined. Queries up to 1000 data records per measurement are supported. Note that query date interval must be configured using  pre- defined or custom data. Complete the remaining options.

Other options:

Frequency of queries: frequency of displayed data can be defined here (e.g.: show data in every 15 minutes)

Calculate mean between samples: if this option is enabled, then the mean value will be displayed, which is calculated from values of the 15 minute interval (note: mean value is calculated only if logging is more frequent than querying.)

Calculate interval values: in the case of consumption data, the values will be displayed according to the interval that was defined at frequency of queries.

Other chart settings:

Chart opacity: opacity of chart can be defined in percent

Hide chart border: only “useful” information will be shown while the border will be hidden (with the help of the cursor navigated onto the chart the border appears again.)

Show chart legend: displays chart legend

Show chart axis: hides or displays chart axis

Enable auto refresh: the charts refresh their data in given intervals

Chart refresh rate: chart refresh interval in minutes

After setting all  properties, click “Ok” and the chart will appear. As soon as the data queries have run, the data uploads into the chart. Filling in “Source and measurement” properties is absolutely necessary for the chart to be able to find the appropriate data in the database.

Chart hierarchy can be organized arbitrarily and the number of charts is unlimited.

In case the number of marked objects or the lines of data returned by the queries is more than the limit permitted (1000) , an exclamation mark warns us in the left bottom corner of the chart, and not all of the data is displayed.
