Billing Reports Application

The original purpose of the Business-Intelligence Module was to provide the user with Billing Report functionality, such as, for invoicing or statements of expenses applied to tenants in office buildings, retail suites in shopping centers, individual businesses in industrial parks, separate departments in industrial manufacturing units, etc. This application remains a key application and is requested by many projects.

-	The objective of the application is to provide cost allocation to individual users or spaces otherwise using energy from a common source, typically from one utility meter

-	The challenge was to provide accurate and localized invoicing or statements to a broad range of users.

-	Also, it was important to have the invoices approved by the local tax authority in each jurisdiction. This is a very typical scenario in a deregulated utility environment, where the landlord is typically treated as a utility by the local commissions.

-	In some scenarios, the application was required to export a file to the customer’s existing invoicing system (example: SAP, etc.). The AVR Connection Center met this requirement.
