
Failing to connect to the database may have the following causes:
Regarding SMS or ION Enterprise databases, check for the following causes,
• The ethernet connection established between the installed computer and the server is not working (no connection or failure)
• Incorrect SQL databse name
• When using SQL server 2000, the intallation of SP3 or a later version is needed
• In particular cases you cannot access the database with the computer name. If this applies, try using the IP address of the computer
• Incorrect database name
• Incorrect login name / password
Regarding the use of an EGX300 device, check for the following causes,
• The ethernet connection established between the installed computer and the EGX300 device is either slow or there is a problem in the connection
• Incorrect login name / password
Regarding other databases or systems, check for the following causes (AVReporter database),
• Check the settings of the plug-in related to the connection (for detailed information see plug-in description)
